De Programa de Pós Graduação em Administração

The need to promote personal and professional training, to identify the potential for the labor market, to satisfy the various sectors linked to the production system and, above all, to satisfy the latent demand for the training of qualified human resources to meet the specific needs of organizations, provokes not only a reflection on the mechanisms of choice and use of management technologies, but also assumes a role of redefinition in the relationships that link objects and subjects (organizations, communities, individuals, territories, sectors). In this context, the Academic Master in Administration was created within the Humanities Center (CH) of the Federal College of Campina Grande (UFCG).

The importance of the above-mentioned Master's Degree for the UFCG and the entire region, polarized by the municipality of Campina Grande - PB, is related to the possibility of forming a high suppressed demand of professionals who want to complement their education, especially students who were somehow involved in research during undergraduate. In addition, it helps to strengthen the links between management technologies, their policies and actions with the social and environmental aspects. And, moreover, between these and public policies, given the importance that government policies acquire in peripheral countries such as Brazil, characterized by an extreme concentration of wealth and social inequalities, with political and institutional aspects contributing to the reinforcement of these inequalities.

The alumni profile is composed of individuals interested in developing a potential to promote and disseminate their activities in the field of social and environmental management and their multiple opportunities to make the sectors of society (business, government and civil society) more effective in their policies and actions. Given the complexity of the proposed focus, it is necessary that students be trained in different areas of knowledge and professional performance in the many areas related to social and environmental management. The goal is to provide learning conditions that support the training of professionals who are sensitive to today's challenges, critical of societal changes, and committed to courses of action in sectors that are effective in improving socio-environmental issues.
